Operators of the Maui gas field off Taranaki in New Zealand are coming to the rescue of a facility that is in decline.
The oil field has provided much of the country’s gas needs for the last thirty years but is now in failing health.
It is served by two platforms. Maui A was brought into full production in 1979.
