Kai Naumann joins the Hamburg-based company to replace Uwe Groos who died suddenly, a statement said.
The 45-year-old will be responsible for finance, technology and staff management at the owner which currently operates 13 offshore support vessels.
Naumann has spent his entire career at German energy group RWE, rising through the ranks from a starting position as an internal auditor to chief financial officer.
