The Singapore-listed offshore vessel owner is seeking to recoup $56m from shipowner PDV Marina and shipbuilder Astilleros De Venezuela (Astivenca) including interest, it said in a statement.
The case, which has been lodged in a London court, relates to unpaid fees on the 159-tbp Amethyst (built 2007) and 158-tbp Turquoise (built 2007).
CH Offshore had arrested vessels belonging to PDV Marina but released them after the Venezuelan operator paid $70m into court as security for the claim, it said.
