An Evangelos Marinakis-led consortium has acquired struggling English championship football team Nottingham Forest.
The Greek shipowner has teamed up on the deal with compatriot businessman and investor Sokratis Kominakis, the football club confirmed in a statement.
“The completion of the purchase of 100% of the club’s shares follows the English Football League’s (EFL) review of the business plan submitted for the club,” said Nottingham Forest FC.
