German liner giant Hapag-Lloyd has stopped work on its tender to build six ultra-large containership newbuildings worth up to $1.2bn, amid the slowdown in global trade caused by the coronavirus pandemic.
The company confirmed to TradeWinds that the tender is postponed “until further notice”.
