Germany's Reederei H Vogemann is reported to have booked four new bulkers in China.
Clarksons said the 38,800-dwt vessels will be handed over by Taizhou Kouan from October 2018.
The final three will be delivered in 2019. No price was given.
Vogemann has four bulkers and two tankers in operation, but nothing has been delivered since 2011.
Vogemann managing partner Jens-Michael Arndt told TradeWinds the company does not comment on market rumours.
