A NorthLink ferry had to return to port in Scotland after bar windows were smashed by freak waves.
The 11,700-gt Hrossey (built 2002) had left Aberdeen for Shetland on Tuesday, the BBC reported.
But it had to head back less than two hours later in extreme weather conditions.
Repairs were carried out overnight and it set off again on Wednesday morning.
