Al Ghuarair Resources International has cancelled a fixture for one of Diana Shipping's post-panamaxes.
Al Ghurair, a UAE-based agricultural commodities trader, Tuesday did away with a timecharter contract for 98,704-dwt Polymnia (built 2012) due to "unforeseen events, the Simeon Palios-led owner said.
The fixture was announced 10 October.
"Charterers have exercised their right to cancel the time charter contract since the vessel was not delivered, due to unforeseen events, unrelated to the condition of the vessel, during the pre-agreed period," Diana Shipping said in a statement.
