De Stoop: Venezuela sanctions panic 'almost a hoax'

Euronav CEO Hugo de Stoop has revealed how the recent panic among tanker charterers about booking ships that had traded to Venezuela was "almost like a hoax".

TradeWinds has reported that oil majors like ExxonMobil and Sinopec had begun to insert clauses into charters to specify that vessels must not have visited the US-sanctioned country in the last 12 months.
