Good ice conditions have facilitated the first 2019 shipment of LNG eastbound along the Northern Sea Route (NSR).
The 172,600-cbm, Arc7 Vladimir Rusanov (built 2018) left Yamal LNG’s Sabetta terminal in the Russian Arctic on 28 June bound for South Korea.
Those following the vessel early this week said it was moving well without icebreaker assistance in what are “quite mild” ice conditions for the Arctic region this year.
