Qatargas has asked shipbuilders to offer in on plans to build up to 80 LNG carriers worth more than $15bn at today’s prices in the period up to 2026.
Those following the recently released tender, which was announced last week by parent Qatar Petroleum, said Qatargas has asked for initial proposals on 40 firm vessels with deliveries spread across a four-year period starting from 2023.
