Christian Andersen claims that he did not know that the John Fredriksen-led owners of Avance Gas wanted him to leave his chief executive role until two weeks ago and that it came as a big surprise.
As TradeWinds reported earlier this week, Avance Gas announced Andersen would be stepping down from the Oslo-listed LPG carrier owner.
Market sources believe the Avance Gas board asked Andersen to resign due to weak results.
