Nordic Shipholding of Denmark has sold the oldest tanker in its fleet.

It has offloaded the 35,800-dwt Nordic Ruth (built 2000) for $6.1m, it announced today.

The ship was one of five handysize tankers in its fleet, which also includes a single LR1.

However, it was comfortably the oldest ship under Nordic’s control, with the remainder of its fleet built between 2007 and 2009.
