Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (Adnoc) has claimed a first after it loaded LPG and propylene on to the same ship.
The unnamed vessel took on the stems at Ruwais in the UAE.
It loaded 12,600 tonnes of propylene and 33,000 tonnes of LPG, "significantly" reducing freight rates, the company said.
The products are normally shipped separately and must be stored at different temperatures.
