Two general cargoships have been damaged in a collision off Germany.
The 2,300-dwt Eems Cobalt (built 1993) and the 8,900-dwt Paksoy-1 came together 25 miles from Borkum on Thursday night, the country's coast guard said.
Pictures showed the bulbous bow of Paksoy-1 embedded in the side of Eems Cobalt.
But a second attempt to separate the ships has been successful using a tug.
