Diana Shipping is getting a hefty rate boost by extending a fix on one of its kamsarmax vessels.
The New York-listed company has prolonged Glencore Agriculture's charter of the 81,513-dwt Astarte (built 2013) for another 14 months to 17 months, starting yesterday.
The vessel was fixed at $14,250 per day with the expectation of making $6m in gross revenue for the minimum period of the charter.
