French offshore shipping company Bourbon revealed the number of stacked ships in its fleet hit 185 at the end of the second half.
This compared to 182 a year ago, although the shipowner said the situation was stabilising.
The total fleet stood at 505 vessels, from 510 in the same period of 2017, with 320 operational, down from 323.
Five crew boats were brought out of layup in the second quarter.
