Japanese boxship company Ocean Network Express (ONE) is honing in on hybrid low-sulphur bunkers to solve the IMO's 2020 conundrum.
But the NYK, MOL and K Line joint venture has not ruled out scrubber use for its vast 340-ship fleet.
It said: "We are well prepared and ready to comply with this regulation.
"We have launched a cross-functional task force to evaluate from technical aspect and established ONE’s stance on 2020 global sulphur limit."
