Finland's ESL Shipping has taken delivery of what it claims is the world's most eco-friendly bulker.
The 25,600-dwt Haaga was handed over at Jinling Shipyard in Nanjing, China, on Monday.
It is LNG-fueled and generates less than 50% of the carbon dioxide emissions of the previous generation of vessels, the company said.
The ship can also be fueled by completely carbon-free biogas, once its availability improves over time.
