Finnlines has signed an order for three hybrid ro-ro vessels from CSC Jinling Shipyard in Jiangsu, China, set for delivery from 2020-2021.
The Emanuele Grimaldi-led operator of ro-ro and passenger services in the Baltic Sea and the North Sea will invest more than EUR 200m in buying the 238-metre-long ships.
Finnlines said the 17,400-dwt ships will have a cargo capacity of 5,800 lane metres, 5,600 square metres of car decks and a capacity of about 300 teu on its weather deck.
