The International Tanker Owner’s Pollution Federation (Itopf) confirms it has detected bunker fuel among the spill from the sunken wreck of the 164,000-dwt tanker Sanchi (built 2008).
The London based marine pollution advisor has been monitoring pollution from the stricken NITC tanker since the 6 January 2018 collision with the 76,000-dwt bulk carrier CF Crystal (built 2011) 160 miles of the East coast of China.
