Lay-up numbers for LNG carriers are expected to double in the near term as more vessels are prepared to be parked on a more permanent basis in an increasingly problematic trading market for older ships.
Brokers said at least seven LNG carriers are now classed as in cold lay-up, with talk of a similar number ready to follow them.
