Japan’s Doun Kisen is said to have expanded its newbuilding programme to eight bulkers.
European brokers reported that the shipowner has ordered two more kamsarmaxes and two more ultramaxes at Nantong Xiangyu Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering in China.
They quoted $37.3m for each 82,000-dwt kamsarmax and $35.3m
