Michael Phoon has stepped down as executive director of the Singapore Shipping Association (SSA) after 10 years in the role.
Phoon was said to have resigned to pursue new interests and opportunities.
His departure was announced on Thursday by SSA president Caroline Yang, who said a search process has started to find a successor.
“While we are saddened to see Michael leave, we respect his decision and remain thankful for his contributions towards SSA’s growth and where we are today.
