South Korean liner operator HMM’s profits doubled in the second quarter as freight rates soared.
Net profit rose to KRW 661bn ($482.5m) in the three months to the end of June, up 111% year on year.
Revenues rose by 25% to KRB 2.7trn.
The Seoul-based company said higher freight rates and strengthening of profitability-oriented operations resulted in the growth.
