Investment bank Evercore ISI has chopped Euronav from its coverage of public tanker owners on the same day the Belgian company held an investor day to pitch its transition into green shipping.
The call by researcher Jonathan Chappell — considered the dean of US shipping analysts — is based on an analysis that the Belgians “no longer fit” within its framework for coverage of the tanker sector.
