One year on from Russia’s invasion, 58 ships valued at $440m remain trapped at Ukrainian ports, according to a marine satellite intelligence company.
Skytek’s satellite imagery has allowed it to identify trapped vessels even if they have switched off their AIS transmission.
At the outbreak of war, Skytek recorded 102 ships worth $840m stuck in the inner waters of Ukrainian ports.
