Great Eastern Shipping managing director Bharat Sheth could try to build the Indian owner’s fleet up to 70 ships when the time is right.
The executive told analysts on a conference call that asset prices in sectors like bulkers and boxships have been falling, but this has been from very high levels.
“The way we look at capital is, we only want to deploy it as and when we think we have a reasonable probability of providing…a dollarised return,” Sheth said.
