Euronav has set a date for shareholders to vote on a Saverys family effort to oust the tanker owner’s board following the clan’s ostensible victory over Norwegian billionaire John Fredriksen in a battle for the company.
According to regulatory filings made on Monday, the Belgian tanker giant will hold a shareholder meeting on 23 March in Antwerp at the request of Saverys-backed Compagnie Maritime Belge (CMB).
