Elite Tankship of Singapore has moved into the VLCC sector with the long-term charter of a modern, Japanese-built vessel owned by Pertamina International Shipping.
The addition of the 302,000-dwt Pertamina Prime (built 2021) gives the three-year-old company a foothold in almost all size segments of the tanker sector.
Market sources said it was expected that Elite would add a VLCC to the fleet of tankers it commercially operates or charters.
