Capturing, shipping and transporting CO2 could be a cheaper way for companies to meet environmental targets than carbon levies.
This is according to figures revealed by Aker Carbon Capture (ACC) — the eco start-up established by Norwegian tycoon Kjell Inge Rokke.
Emil Yde Aasen, the company’s business analyst, speaking at Norwegian law firm BAHR’s carbon capture, storage and transport seminar in Oslo during Nor-Shipping, said: “This is not some sci-fi tech that’s just been invented, it’s a credible solution for net-zero.”
