Danish shipping giant AP Moller-Maersk is temporarily halting all bookings to and from Russia as western sanctions bite.
The group said all container shipping will stop following the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
The move follows similar decisions by Japanese-controlled Ocean Network Express (ONE), Germany’s Hapag Lloyd and Switzerland’s Mediterranean Shipping Co (MSC).
The suspension, covering all Russian ports, will not include food, medical and humanitarian supplies, Maersk said.
