Newly streamlined Golar LNG has three designs ready for floating LNG (FLNG) production units and expects to secure a contract for a new project this year.
Speaking on a fourth-quarter results call, Golar LNG chief executive Karl Fredrik Staubo said the company’s Mark 1 design for a 1 to 2 million tonnes per annum (mtpa) unit is based on the conversion of an existing vessel.
