President Donald Trump has promoted a ship and yacht broker to chair the Federal Maritime Commission (FMC), Washington’s key regulatory agency for international shipping.
The White House announced the chairmanship of Louis Sola, who has served on the FMC since Trump appointed him during his last term, among a raft of similar appointments to lead regulatory commissions and boards on the new president’s first day.
