Singapore's BW LPG has confirmed closing the sale an elderly VLGC nearly seven months after initially agreeing its disposal.
The Oslo-listed company, a spin-off of the BW Group, said the 83,000-cbm BW Confidence (built 2006) has been delivered to an unnamed new owner in Vietnam for a profit of $6m.
The ship was bought by BW LPG in 2012 and a sale was agreed in December 2020 at $40m, but this fell through in the first quarter.
