Great Eastern Shipping managing director Bharat Sheth is surprised at the lack of tanker recycling in weak markets but suspects he knows the reason.
He told analysts on a conference call that in spite of both the crude and the product ship market being "significantly challenged", he has been taken aback by "very poor" scrapping levels and rising asset values.
