Gazprom has reiterated its request to the Russian government for exploration and development licences for three offshore blocks near Sakhalin Island.
The company noted it was earlier put in charge of the gasification of the whole region.
Deputy executive chairman Aleksandr Ananenkov told First Deputy Prime Minister and presidential hopeful Dmitry Medvedev that the company wants licences for the Ayashsky, Odoptu and Kirinsky blocks “by the end of the first quarter”.
