LNG entrant Concepcion International is finalising a deal with Samsung Heavy Industries to build Chile’s third import terminal.
The South Korean shipyard group is in the frame to build facilities at the port of Talcahuano as well as a floating storage and regasification unit, said a project source.
The developer aims to start construction in the third quarter of next year.
Concepcion, made up of Chilean and South Korean investors, has launched supply negotiations with Repsol-YPF of Spain and Korea Gas Corporation.
