Anti-corruption prosecutors in Brazil charged nine people on allegations that they were involved in a bribery scheme related to contracts between Petrobras and shipyard group Samsung Heavy Industries.
The government’s Carwash Task Force lodged the money laundering and corruption charges against the lobbyists, money changers and oil executives in connection with $1.2bn in contracts to build drillships for Petrobras, the government controlled oil company.
