The US has blacklisted a Burmese shipping company as part of measures to mark the third anniversary of the military takeover.
It said the regime had relied on a broad network of companies for material and financial support to continue a campaign of “violence and terror” against the people of Myanmar, including bombing civilian areas.
It cited Myanma Five Star Line Co, which it said was owned by a vast and secretive military conglomerate.
