A fourth liner giant has been hit with a patent infringement lawsuit.
This time it is Mediterranean Shipping Co (MSC) caught in Transcend Shipping Systems' sights.
Florida-registered Transcend alleges the boxship company infringed on four patents issued in the US with its online container-tracking system.
"The Transcend patents are valid, enforceable, and were duly issued in full compliance with" US law, read the lawsuit, filed in the federal court for the Western District of Texas on 15 January.
