The Maryland state government has filed papers asking a US judge for permission to sue the owner and operator of the Dali outside of proceedings that limit their liability in the March destruction of a Baltimore bridge.
State attorney general Anthony Brown filed papers in a US federal court arguing that some of Maryland’s claims against owner Grace Ocean and manager Synergy Marine are not subject to a liability cap.
