The registered owner of an Alcyon Shipping-controlled capesize bulker is suing bunkering giant World Fuel Services over an aborted refuelling operation in Canada last year.
Nightkiss Marine filed the lawsuit against World Fuel Services Canada in the US federal court for the Southern District of Florida on 18 June accusing the marine fuels company of breach of contract.
Nightkiss, which owns the 179,354-dwt Nightkiss (built 2015), said World Fuel Services Canada agreed to provide the ship with fuel off Come by Chance, Newfoundland and Labrador in November 2020, but the barge captain refused citing issues with mooring.
