The West of England protection and indemnity club has appointed a senior Gard executive to become its new chief underwriting officer from 2025.
Bart Mertens will take over from Simon Parrott, who announced in April that he would retire next year after 40 years with the club.
Mertens will start in his new role in January and will work closely with Parrott through the renewal cycle.
