Shipping companies will all need to use carbon offsetting if the industry is to achieve its net-zero goals, according to specialist joint venture Vertree.
Managing partner Ariel Perez said he and his colleagues spend a great deal of time looking at how shipping is going to get to net zero.
“There really is no scenario that doesn’t include offsets for some period of time,” he told TradeWinds.
