Total is to take over Toshiba’s US LNG business and pick up $800m from the Japanese group as part of the transaction.
The portfolio includes a 20-year tolling agreement for 2.2m tonnes per annum (mtpa) of LNG from Freeport LNG train 3 in Texas.
The French energy major is paying $15m for all the shares of Toshiba America LNG Corp.
