Taiwan, Pakistan and Thailand are poised to play leading roles in Asia’s LNG growth story, creating more tonne miles.
China, Japan and South Korea are the top buyers of LNG, but a report by JP Morgan Asia’s Scott Darling paints a wider growth picture.
“Our analysis suggests other Asian countries are also becoming more reliant on natural gas and/or LNG in their changing energy structure,” the Hong Kong-based oil and gas analyst said.
