Society of Gas as a Marine Fuel (SGMF) environmental committee will hold its first meeting in Rotterdam on 11 October.
Mark Bell, general manager of the fuelling industry body, says 12 to 14 people representing shipowners, operators, suppliers and academics are expected to attend and elect one of their number to head the committee, which will tackle issues such as methane slip and carbon emissions.
