German owner Schulte Group says it is trying to get to the bottom of a German marine police statement claiming one of its LPG carriers had dumped food waste in the Gulf of Mexico.
Police in Brunsbuttel said the master of the 20,738-cbm Immanuel Schulte (built 1995) was fined EUR 20 ($21.50) for entry deficiencies in the waste record book.
Schulte told TradeWinds the penalty was for a missing signature on one page.
