Qatar has formally launched a hugely anticipated tender for LNG carrier newbuildings that could ultimately lead to over 100 ships being contracted.
Excitement has been growing for a Qatar mega-order since the state revealed in January that it was planning to book 60 LNG carrier newbuildings to serve its expansion plans.
At this month's LNG2019 event in China, officials highlighted the tender was close.
